Top 5 PS3 Games

Metal Gear Solid 4:
The alleged last game featuring Solid Snake (unless the price is right for Kojima, I'm sure) this game blows out all the previous installments in the franchise; I argue that it's the best in the series and I'm sure many would agree: the graphics were amazing, the story was deep and complex, all many old friends stopped by to help Snake along the way. The only thing I would change is Snake's suit, I got a little tired of how the suit molded so tightly to his butt, it reminded me of that Simpson's episode with Flanders in the ski suit.

InFamous:
Just think Assassin's Creed meets rush hour traffic. Empire city is quarantined and everyone is going nuts, especially people with super powers. You are a guy named Cole with the ability to manipulate electricity and the game allows you a wide variety of ways to exercise that power, whether it be sucking the soul out of a civilian's face or gliding from buildings like a flying squirrel. What's cool is you can either be good or bad (hence the title infamous) and new skills are open to you depending on your nature. The ending really blew me away, so it's a great game from beginning to end.

Resident Evil 5:
Chris Redfield is back and this time taking the zombie beat down to Africa. The Resident Evil series for me is one of those things that doesn't always shine, many games bearing the name come and go but hardly gain notoriety. This game is a strong player in the series and brings so many great elements together in one package. Players over the years have gotten pretty desensitized to horror games after the first Silent Hill and Resident Evil, but RE5 brings it back old school and reminds people of the small, enclosed areas where zombies could jump out at any moment. Add in another character, whether they be NPC or other player, and that only adds to the anxiety, especially during the executioner and chainsaw scenes.

Fight Night Round 4:
I have a fear that if I ever get into a boxing ring, the guy will break my nose. My fears have been alieved knowing that I don't have to get into a ring to experience the sport. I seriously can't get enough of this game. Boxing games in the box have been either too cartoony (remember that one on PS2 where you could box a bear?) or had fatal flaws that made them unplayable. This game takes realism to the next level; gameplay is very intuitive and learning the controls is easy to learn but difficult to master. It's almost brutally enjoyable watching these boxers pummel themselves into a brain dead coma with the slow motion, spittle flying replay, thank goodness they aren't real people.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2:
This game has yet to be released, but the many gameplay previews from this year's E3 have built up a lot of excitement. And if the previous games in the Call of Duty franchise are any indication of the level of gameplay and story we can expect, this game won't let fans down.
