When to Make a Smart Buy of Halo 3 ODST

Halo 3 ODST is the recent addition to the Halo series that initiated as ODST troops prepared to battle a collision of squad ships. ODST introduces new fighting modes and allows nearly 4 players to face tough enemies, and is incredible as it offers the player a depth to keep themselves awake by sucking coffee thereby making a valid reason to purchase this game. However, if you are a die-hard gamer and just cannot imagine spending time without this game, you must be prepared to make a dent in your pocket. But, a smart gamer knows where and when to invest money on games so that he avails the best deals such as Halo 3 ODST.

Halo 3 ODST is a game play offering one of the best dynamics, graphics, great weapons and fine weapon controls, such that it gives a unique satisfying experience. This 6 hour campaign is highly recommended for people making final decision to buy ODST, but it is certainly over-priced owing to production margins, promotions, besides being a recently launched video game. But, people really desiring to purchase Halo 3 ODST should patiently wait for a few months so that it may be available at lower costs. Thus, keeping track of the games and its prices at the nearest stores and the internet is ideal to acquire the best deals.

Smart purchase is a must to acquire games and the proper knowledge of its availability helps in getting the game of your choice at your desired price. Getting second hand games may be also a fine choice and the details are very well available on the internet. The gamers who already used it and are on a move to look out for something else or the gamers who disliked after purchasing it, put these games on the internet at second hand rates. This helps in making a smart purchase by saving lots of money and also in acquiring the best games for the lowest price.

Searching at the resale section for such games at Amazon or eBay websites is appropriate, and opting for the flee markets sometimes may provide good deals. However, dealing with the flee market involves handling with utmost care as there is an immense risk of forgery in such deals. There are plenty of sites offering many deals and hence opting for the best and reliable ones is suggested, so that you deal rightly and be the ultimate winner.

Original games such as Halo 3 ODST are sometimes put at discounted prices and people keep waiting for such opportunities to buy them immediately. The idea about discounted prices can be known only by keeping an open eye always on such releases. Similarly, compare original video game prices on different online stores as every store quotes different prices as well as vary on the discount labels. Also searching on Google may help in finding out the price comparison of Halo 3 ODST at different websites such that you can strike a desirable and economical deal.

Opting for on-line stores to make the purchase should be done keeping in mind the addition of shipping costs to the purchase price. However, there are stores offering free shipping or even coupons and discounts on purchases. There are many fine games such as Halo 3 ODST available for promotional purposes at discounted prices, and this is based on the offer. So seizing such deal gives an opportunity to grasp the latest release at a minimum price.

Top Rated PS3 Games: Assassin's Creed

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Assassin's Creed is certainly one of the most impressive and exciting PS3 Games ever developed by Ubisoft. The same team, which created the outstanding and popular Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, spent two years in order to produce this visually stunning, stylish, and very original game. Assassin's Creed offers a whole new level of gaming adventure with its awesome lifelike animation, freer movement of the characters, good graphics and sound, and other special features like you've never seen before in other PS3 Games.

A quick look at Assassin's Creed might remind you of other recent and top rating PS3 Games. For, this game boasts of an incredibly controllable hero and an almost lifelike animation just like the Prince of Persia. Moreover, the game has an astounding medieval setting, a visually stunning lifelike cityscapes, and an open-ended game play that is very similar to that of Oblivion. The ps3 game also reminds us of the Thief series for its resourceful, independent, and inconspicuous hero as well as the anti-medieval-establishment background. Then, the open-ended sandbox world of Assassin's Creed is also comparably with Grand Theft Auto. Amidst certain similarities with other games, Assassin's Creed is still a standout with its surprising twists and it's creative and beautifully designed visual style. All these features add to the uniqueness of the game.

"Nothing is true. Everything is permitted." And so goes the creed of the assassin. These words suggest that anything is possible during the entire game. This exciting and action-packed adventure is set in the late 12th century during the Third Crusade under the leadership of Richard Lionheart. Here, you play as Altair, the fearless and powerful assassin armed with a sword, a wrist blade, and crossbows. The hero is surrounded by aggressive threats in all places and yet he can destroy them all instantly with his fast and cunning counterattacks to his enemies. Assassin's Creed, indeed, is one of the PS3 Games worth playing.

The people's reaction to Altair is another thing, which sets apart Assassin's Creed from the rest of the PS3 Games. While the hero is busy fighting or demonstrating his skills and tactics, you could see the people around visibly frowning or raising their eyebrows as they watch him. A perfect example for this is the scene where Altair attacks a random civilian. As the victim drops to the ground, the villagers stand in shock while others run away from the place screaming.

You might be wondering where the hero's name comes from. Altair is an Arabic word, which means "the flying eagle." Indeed, the developers of the game made sure that the character would really live up to his name. If you want to find out why, just watch Altair's rapid and swift movements each time he faces his opponents. He projects a cool attitude even in the middle of a big fight. Altair is distinct from other heroes in PS3 games with the fact that his movements look so real and good to the players. The game's animation is simply visually stunning and lifelike. Assassin's Creed is truly one of the best PS3 Games ever created by Ubisoft. The whole adventure is worth checking out.

Final Fantasy XIII

Final Fantasy XIII Review

no towns. no MP. no experience points. in fact, characters only have 3 overall stats: health, strength and magic. that's it!
i was shocked at first, but once i was locked in battle with a freakish cybernetic demigod, stats was the furthest thing from my mind.

JRPGS usually follow a template: start in a town, travel through a dungeon to the next town and repeat until you reach the final boss. FFXIII completely tosses that formula aside.
most of the game is completely linear. you often have no choice but to travel down what's basically a tube, encountering enemies and cut scenes in a very controlled manner. but what you lose in control is more than made up for by what you gain in every other aspect.
square enix has taken a genre it knows inside and out and trimmed away all the fat, leaving a lean, streamlined and highly focused experience. your task is to follow along, and develop skills in battle to carry the characters through their story.

hard core traditionalists may find this unsettling, but that's missing the point. FFXIII has finally embraced the true nature of the series, which has always been about a set narrative with characters you can only control in as much as you shape their abilities or pick what armor they wear and what weapon they wield.

here the game flow takes precedence, leaving behind our outdated notions of what a JRPG should be. once you let those expectations go, it's impossible not to marvel at what FFXIII accomplishes.

the story begins on a moonlike satellite called cocoon, which as it's name suggests, is sealed from the outside world. it is small and isolated, but very technologically advanced. all this comes at a price though. god like beings known as fal'cie are using the sanctum, a human puppet government, to weild ultimate power over everyone.

below cocoon lies pulse, a mysterious planet the cocoons citizens are forbidden to visit. while no one has ever seen it, pulse is a living hell, with hostile climate and predatory monsters. society lives in constant fear of a pulse invasion, and if anyone even remotely comes into contact with any pulse influence, they're ruthlessly and permanently taken to the world they fear most. that is if they're not gunned down by the sanctum first.

the main character lightning is sanctum soldier until the first pulse contamination scare occurs. she defects when she learns that her younger sister serah is among those about to be purged. as she fights to save her sister, her path becomes entwined with others who share a similar fate, sazh, a father who desperately wants to save his son whom the sanctum has taken hostage, and snow, serah's husband to be and self proclaimed hero and general hot shot. and then there's vanille...but i won't go there (LOL).

anything i can say about the story other than this will just be one spoiler after another. just know that the characters are fully believable and i felt fully invested in each one of lightning's crew.

the active time battle system returns here with some major updates. unlike slow, purely turn based systems where time isn't a factor, the ATB system forces you to think quickly. since all movents from allies and enemies is based on an action guage that refills constantly, the object is to have your moves queued up and ready to unleash as soon as the gauge fills.
you directly control only the team leader while giving general orders to the other two active party members through the paradigm system. during battle a paradigm is always in place that assigns a specific role to each ally. each of the six roles can perform one type of action--commandos and ravagers can only attack, medics can only heal and synergists and saboteurs can only cast status effects and sentinels only defend. paradigms are chosen from a customizable deck on the fly by hitting L1 during battle. you are coordinating the whole team as you decide what paradigm to employ as battle conditions change.

similar to FFX's sphere grid, each character has a crystarium for each paradigm role, and you can specialize each in specific roles as you see fit. with six playable characters to customize as you like, the possibilities for developing paradigm strategies are vast.

the game is visually stunning. it is definitely the best looking game i have ever seen. but the graohics only represent the topmost layer of what this game offers. every last detail is thoroughly polished. whether you agree with the design choices or the lack of exploration during a big part of the game, everything is deliberately and carefully considered. you may feel like you're traveling through a tube most of the time, but it is the most awesom tube ever!

Copy Xbox 360 Games - The Easy and Simplest Way

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Most people experience a bad feeling when their favorite game disc gets damaged, scratched, or lost. This is an unpleasant situation which a gamer has faced, or will face it in a certain moment of his life. That bad thought that you need to buy a new original disc every time your favorite disc becomes damaged, it makes you wonder if there is no other option.

There are no such problems for people who have invested in a game copy software because they can make a copy of the original disc and use it every day without fear that they need to buy a new one every time when the original disc becomes damaged.

Probably, you did not know that there are such software's in the market which helps you to make copies of an original Xbox 360 game disc, or perhaps you heard that not all are good. This is true, only a couple of software's that are in the market today, are able to make the exact copy and maintain all functions and futures of an original game.

In order to be able to make a quality copy of a Xbox 360 game you need a computer with DVD-r burner, blank DVDs, and a good game copy software. With all that you are basically ready for action.

All you have to do is get a game copy software, install it on your computer then insert the original game disc into DVD drive, follow the software instructions in order to make a copy of the DVD in your computer then replace the original disc with a blank one and fallow again the software instructions to get your quality copy of the original game. It is not difficult if you have all you need, and you will not have to worry anymore that you need to buy a new disc if your original one gets damaged.

Top Five Theme Songs For NFS

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Gaming and sporting have been a delight to all the boys for ages. Boys will be boys and they will surely love their toys! Not only boys, even girls are inclining more towards the sporty side to remain fit and active. Sports like baseball, basketball and soccer are noted among the most favorite sports. When you are undergoing special training for a sport for instance, basketball training, you get to learn all the basics. The skilled coaches tell you about the basketball shooting and how to win the game with the techniques not many people are aware about. This is not only a fun experience, but it also provides you with knowledge you must acquire before you step in the court.

With the advancement in technology, gaming is not only limited to a field. The outbreak of the videogame culture has taken the youth by surprise. Not only the youth but even older people are attracted to this addiction. Web designers who design these games keep finding new ways of making the youth turn to them. The best and the most effective way to do this is to have a good theme song. Hip hops and the rappers are the most common genre.

The most popular game among the youth is Need For Speed (NFS). The game uses many hit singles and even songs performed by various artists to attract the youth. Top 5 of these themes are listed below:

• The most common is the Carbon Theme by Dante. This is not a complete song but it is a theme played with the game.

• The second most popular song is Tyga's Diamond Life. The song is basically a hip hop number featuring rappers that add more life to the gaming experience. The lyrics of the song mainly relate to the car drifts and the socializing related to it.

• Occurring on the third position but seeming to be the most popular number is Get Low remix by Lil Jon feat Ying Yang Twins and Busta Rhymes. This number has a lot of modification related to it. A lot of versions of this song are available. This song is the most popular song that is known by frequent players of NFS. This is again a hip hop number and symbolizes the night party culture.

• On the fourth number is Lady Sovereign's Love Me Or Hate Me. The song sung by a female vocalist again outlines the party culture. The genre of the music is hip hop but the song is more of a dance number.

• Mudvayne's Determined lies on the fifth position. This number differentiates from other numbers by the genre of music to which it belongs. While most of them may be hip hop, this song is a complete hard metal song.

It may be a good idea to target the youth with hit singles performed by famous artists. We see more and more of the youth to be more inclined towards music than towards any other thing. The genre of the music is an excellent combination with the drive time and gives an added excitement to the game.

How Can Game Tables Help Bind Families Better?

I am sure there would be so many movies we have seen with families being involved in great games and spending quality time with each other. Traditionally families used to sit down for a game of chess, cards, casino, and anything that could help them enjoy their leisure time together. However, in recent years this place has been taken up by the idiot box and computers. Today people either like to sit switching channels on their TV sets or play video games on their computers - all alone!

We can actually change all that by simply getting a good game table home. There are so many different types of game tables available today including air hockey table, pool tables, bumper pool, shuffle board, dome hockey, poker tables, football tables, table tennis tables etc. The choice of which game table you wan to get for your family should be left to the family itself! This will help you to get all involved better in the entire gaming season.

Apart from simply having fun, game tables help us to imbibe in our kids great values and lessons. Playing with our parents and grandparents are moments each kid would preserve for years to come. This inculcates in them great ethics like honesty, togetherness, courage, and patience as well. this can really help your kids to excel in future and will help them see why games are meant to be much more than simply fun.

Today we have multi-games type of tables so that you do not have to buy one table for each sport. Gracing your home with a great sports venue will cheer up the entire mood of the family. Now each and every one would wait for weekends to come and the matches would keep them enthralled with each other. It will also help us to avoid our kids from going down the wrong way and wasting leisure time in unwanted activities like drinking or smoking.

Even though we stay together, we fail at times to spend time with each other. Much more fun that just having breakfast jointly would be to challenge and have a great time competing at fun sports. Built with exactly that in mind, the new age game tables help you to play great games indoors without many accessories and yet with many delights! Bigger families could have more than a single game table to help them enjoy more moments of happiness together.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition Review

I bought Oblivion as one of the first games for my PS3, and I have played it many, many times more than any of the (many) other games I've also bought for it (as well as got the PC version). I'm not sure if it's a fair statement to say it's one of the best games ever made, but it certainly is one of the best-extended play games ever made. You can spend oodles and oodles of time on this game, only to come back and spend more some other time (don't ask how I know this :P). Furthermore, much of the game is open-ended, so you can decide what you want to do. Will you be a ruthless assassin, a cunning thief, a skilled mage, a powerful fighter, or a rogue bandit or adventurer? Even after you complete the main quest (more on this later), you can continue with the other quests and continue to play; the game ends when you shut the machine off (or fail the main quest). Also, there are so many options for every quest that you'll likely find yourself with multiple characters to try out the various possibilities; and, even if that didn't appeal to you, you'll probably want to experiment with the various skill sets and races.
The gameplay is solid first/third person action. You use medieval weaponry, can ride horses (but not fight while mounted), explore a huge map and find hidden caves, mines, etc., fight mythic monsters and demigods, interact with NPC's in a fairly wide range of ways, etc. There are a few bugs, but not too many - and, if you get this for the PC, you can get all of the patches (otherwise, you have to use a work-around). For console players, this game is very easy to control (I prefer the PS3 controls to PC controls, although you have quite a few more options with the PC version), which, compared to some other console games, is a great relief. For gameplay, I would rate this 3 to 4 stars. For addictiveness and fun, I would rate it 5.
The graphics are probably a 4; there are some major problems with realism in some areas, but the world is so gorgeous, and the customizable characters so visually interesting, that for visual appeal (rather than necessarily technical perfection), I give it a 4.
As far as actual storyline and storyline of the major and minor quests, I would rate this game about 3 stars; there is nothing terribly original or unique about it, and it is often predictable. There are moments of great cleverness and wit, and occasional touches of brilliance. The problem - which is, in other respects, a great feature - is that there is simply so much; since the majority is mediocre, though, the great is sort of lost in the fray.
After a very lucky encounter with the Emperor (lucky, because it gets you out of prison), the player sets off on a quest to stop the assassins who murdered the royal family and find the lost heir to the throne. You discover a daedric prince and his minions behind it all, and you must lead the heir to victory. Many of the tasks along the way (particularly in the middle, where it starts to feel like "filler") are very mundane and tiresome, but most are fun. You traverse the empire, finding pieces of the puzzle, uncovering mysteries, felling baddies, enlisting aid, etc., until at last the empire is safe. It's not a stellar story-line, but it's solid and interesting enough, and ends in a cool way - leaving the door open for an interesting part 5.
I would rate the various major sub-quests (the guild related ones) between 2 and 4. The thieves guild would be a 3 or 4, as would the Dark Brotherhood, while the mages' and fighter's guild quests would be 2's or 3's. Perhaps it's the appeal of sneaking about and being mischievous - and staying alive while doing it; or maybe it's the monotonous beginning of the mages' and fighter's guild (run-around quests, like killing rats and collecting mushrooms; doing "chores" for the various guilds, etc.); but, however that may be, they are good quests, but not my favorite. They earned a lower rating not really for storyline (they're all moderately interesting and about the same as far as originality goes), but for appeal. As far as the stories themselves: for the Mages' Guild, you must defeat the a powerful necromancer and assume leadership of the Mages' Guild; for the Thieves' Guild, you must remove the curse of the Gray Fox and assume leadership of the guild; for the Fighter's Guild, you must discover the (terrible) source of power of a rival group, and destroy it; for the Dark Brotherhood, you must uncover a traitor and assume leadership of the group.
As far as the the add-on packs (Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine); they're about the same, rating wise, with their own hosts of pluses and minuses, but they add so much to the "world" that they are well worth playing at least once.
Despite some of the lower individual ratings, I think overall this game is 5/5 because of its sheer enjoyability. It isn't perfect, but it's very good and exceptionally fun; and that's all that's needed imho. :-)

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 Review

Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf has always been a good game somewhat marred by a few questionable design choices on the part of Electronic Arts. Quirks like insanely expensive equipment; top of the line putters and such would often cost millions of in-game dollars or using in-game money to purchase abilities skewed the realism factor that the game offered.

Tiger '08 seeks to reverse that trend by offering a game that realistically builds your character through training and experience. Now the focus is less on winning money and more on getting that perfect tee shot or nailing a long put. In essence the focus is back on the golf and the the periphery.

Another excellent feature is the "EA Gameface" which will allow you to take a digital picture of yourself (or anyone else for that matter) and import it into the game. I found it great fun to see my own likeness teeing off against greats like Tiger Woods, Vijay Sighn, or Colin Montgomerie.

All of the features from a "next-generation" game are present here including, full online integration, breath-taking visuals and well implemented game modes that cover the gambit of golfing.

My only gripe with this game would be the steep learning curve. Veterans and newcomers alike will undoubtedly find Tiger '08 monstrously difficult at first. Simply making shots that stay on the fairway is challenging until you character has built enough experience points to become competitive. And while I have no problem with putting in the time the games difficulty absolutely nosedives after a point making the game almost too easy. Some balance here would've made the game more enjoyable.

All in all this is another great gold game that continues to impress year after year.

Sony PS3 Street Fighter IV FightStick

Sony PS3 Street Fighter IV FightStick Review

From being a pad warrior to a stick warrior is no easy transition! You will get owned by the competition so bad when you first move to a stick from using a pad, it will be really frustrating. Although we all started playing Street Fighter II in the arcade, when it made its way onto the Super NES, most of us became pad warriors. We all learned to beat the computer really easily with a pad, and beat all of our friends most of the time. That being said, I can't really say how inferior/superior this is to a true arcade stick. Coming from a pad, it feels like an arcade stick, it plays like an arcade stick, and it even sounds like an arcade stick.

To my understanding it is using replica Sanwa parts, rather than real ones, but you can easily mod it to have the real ones (or shell out the extra for the Tournament Edition stick which uses real Sanwa parts). Once again, coming from a pad, I can't really tell.

If you're coming from a pad as well, there is a pretty tight learning curve to movements, and execution that you may not be used to. I'm still not getting the most basic QCF, QCB + Attack motions perfectly. Thankfully, go into Training Mode and put your inputs on screen to see what you're doing wrong. I've learned on the stick, I'm pressing an attack button before going all the way to forward/back. So, you can learn to correct your mistakes.

However, there are more things you can do on a stick than you ever could on a pad. Challenge Mode is a good example. There are just things that are so much easier to do on a stick than a pad. The easiest example I can think of is Guile's Ultra/Super. DB (hold) to DF, back to DB to UF + Kick. You can do this so much easier on a stick. I can say I can do it nearly 100% of the time with the stick. With the pad, I had to resort to the analog stick, and hold DB, then spin it 720 degrees and hope luck would get it out (maybe about 50% of the time). C. Viper is easier to use with a stick, for example her High Jump execution is much easier.

Short cut commands work on a stick that I couldn't get out on a pad. Shoryuken shortcut DF, DF + Punch works every time on a stick. I couldn't once get that to work on a pad.

The start/select buttons are on the back of the stick, away from you. It's a bit of an annoyance to have to reach over there, but given the size of the thing, I understand the spacing. The Home button is in the upper left corner, along with switches to lock something (never used), and a Turbo setting (never used). Not sure where Turbo would help, since so much of the combos now are timing based; just mashing won't work so Turbo kick, or punch won't help either!

My girlfriend doesn't really like the stick. The buttons chatter and are noisy. She says it sounds like a sewing machine. Everything seems solid, I don't think I could break it from playing with it. If anything did wear out, just be aware that you can replace parts with true Sanwa parts (maybe it makes a difference) rather than by a new stick.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Review

Prince of Persia's rebooted franchise has established a very familiar formula at this point. Put a kingdom in peril, insert the prince, make him jump ,roll, dodge, leap and parkour about, whilst fighting baddies then the stir in a great narrative and epic final battle. The result is usually a stunning game which will keep you enthralled for hours.

The Forgotten Sands is no exception, although I felt that it plays it too safe. This is the old prince and game play style you may remember from previous games and I think fans of the series will enjoy this "episode" short as it is.

Graphics - This is a great looking game. The palace is remarkably detailed from giant tapestries and minuets to detailed stonework and gorgeous water effects. One could easily overlook the care that went into the backgrounds and models as they blast through the levels . Maliq and side characters also look spot on. And from an animations standpoint the Prince is too. Every detail of his movement is lifelike and well executed.
That said, the prince apparently visited Janice Dickenson' s plastic surgeon. Not sure what happened here but he looks like a different.....and much uglier dude. Now of course this may be partly the fact that he is in "HD next gen" for the first time. Thankfully, the voice is familiar and you will probably forget this minor snafu early on. Besides, you spend more time looking at the back of his head than his ugly mug anyways.

Audio-
This game sounds great, but the really star of the show is the music..which really makes many dull moments come to life and it certainly stands up to rest of the series. Epic music-thumbs up there

Controls-
Right off the bat you already know these controls if you have played a POP game which a few exceptions.
1. I had to invert the Y axis in the menu- not sure but I could have sworn that this setting was default on previous games- no biggie-
2. You will be using allot of shoulder buttons later in game. Your hands will cramp up so get the tiger balm ready and give your digits a break after a while.

Gameplay- Well its very standard POP - The game incorporates a few new moves and new mechanics. The core of which is freezing water, well freezing is not really correct. You make water solid, so it's like freezing minus the cold. This mechanic is great because it offers some challenging new puzzles where you have to time the freezing , on and off to get through one waterfall than jump to another etc. There are a few other new mechanics but this one is the most frequently used.

Combat-
The combat is an issue, I can see that they wanted to streamline and simplify it however I think they over simplified it. The enemies are a total pushover.Sometimes they just stand there waiting for you to cut them down while holding their swords likes they are about swing but first they want to give YOU a chance to kill them....???? W T H ?
The addition of powers like the fire trail and freeze blast thing makes this WAY TOO EASY. Combat is almost an annoyance in this game and certainly takes backseat to platforming. Which is OK,...but Warrior Within was able to balance this and I don't see why they chose to go the opposite way here. I prefer the deeper combat system and I question this choice by the developers .

Also- I couldn't help but notice that all the mid-bosses are all the exact same enemy...roll away let him hit the wall the slice his ankles, jump on him stab him and repeat- Including the Efreet-
wow talk about lazy, if there had been more diversity this may have salvaged the combat a bit.

One last thing on game play; I thought the boss fight in the last game was WAY TOO HARD.....this game it was quite the opposite.....in fact I cant recall a recent game where the final boss was such a push over.

Story-
The story is pretty straightforward and has very few twist turns or anything interesting to it that would actually make me care. The only dynamic is the whole "Brothers" thing and even that falls flat. It almost seems like the story was an after thought.
This is a shame because in my opinion it's the games biggest issue. The thing that made "The Sands of Time" a great game was the AMAZING narrative . It was as if a story from Arabian Nights had come to life and put YOU right in the middle as the hero. This series is built on a great character and great storytelling but sadly here it really fails to sweep you up. This is a minor "Episode" of the princes life and rather mediocre one at that.

Conclusion-
This is not a bad game, it just suffers from a few minor issues and a mediocre story. Fans of POP will be right at home with this game and I suspect will find some enjoyment with the new freeze water power. My advise--->Rent it-
It is a good game just not up to snuff with the rest of the series....don't waste 60 bucks -- because although it has some unlockable modes etc. chances are after you beat this game you'll move on. It had allot of potential but I felt it was just short of the mark of being a rightful heir to this series throne.

Good Xbox 360 Shooting Games

Image : http://www.flickr.com

There are some real good shooting games out there on Xbox right now. Usually when you think of a shooting game, you think about the computer shooting games (at least I do). But Microsoft has done a great job of creating great quality shooting games on Xbox. Just any other game, you have to be sure you are getting the best quality of gaming out there in the industry. That is why I am going to give you a list of the best games out there.

One thing that you will need to find out first is what type of shooter you are. There are many different variations of this genre. You have westerns, military, and adventure. Therefore, you will need to determine what type of gamer you are so that you can enjoy the game that you will buy. I am going to go over the games that are popular amongst general shooters.

If you are a military gamer, then you will love Gears of War 2 and Red faction: Guerrilla. These two are the more popular these days in the Xbox world. If you are more of a Western fan, you will want to pick up Red Dead Redemption. This is a historic shooter which is made from the producers of Grand Theft Auto. This is a third person type of gaming.

These are some of the more popular games that are out there right now in the marketplace. Again you will want to make sure you are aware of what type of gaming you are really into.

Cheats For Wii Games

Image : http://www.flickr.com

It seems strange to some people that anyone would want to cheat at a game. With some computer games, however, the occasional cheat goes a long to the enjoyment of the game. Sometimes, not being able to complete a stage of a game means that you have to continuously repeat that level. This can become quite tiresome as you are keen to get on and see the rest of the game.

The Nintendo Wii console is a huge step in the world of gaming consoles. It allows all ages to enjoy the same equipment as there is an ever increasing range of games available. Cheats for Wii games do have a legitimate place in the world of gaming. They are not just for people who wish to increase their scores by cheating and not telling! If you have two children of different abilities playing the same game, then it may be useful to allow one of them a little lea way by adding a cheat code. They can, however, be a bone of contention amongst friends as the games can sometimes become quite competitive and if one of the players has access to the cheats and not the others then there is an element of the unfair.

Some of the cheats are just walk throughs. This means that you are able to access places in the games which you would not otherwise be able to reach without having first resolved a puzzle or found a key. Some are even less than this and are really only hints. These can prove invaluable if you have found yourself unable to get passed a sticky point in the game and are becoming frustrated. Cheats for Wii games and just the same as those for other computer games and will vary in the level of cheat. Obviously there are very few people who would want to cheat to the degree of finishing the game without having worked through at least some of the levels. However, there will always be someone who wants to claim success when no congratulations are deserved!

On the internet you will find many websites where you can get codes for cheats for Wii games. Some of these include forums where keen gamers can meet up in the virtual world and discuss the merits and downfalls of various games. Here you can keep up to date with the latest games and products and chat to fellow gamers. Cheats for all games systems are available on sites such as these and you will find that spending time on a forum will give you access to a new world of cheats and hints. If you become involved with the other gamers on a forum, you are more likely to get hold of some cheats that are not so readily available on other websites. These are the more subtle cheats that enable you access to different parts of games etc but will still retain the competitive element and give the satisfaction of playing with gamesmanship.

Whatever level of cheats for Wii games you choose, you will find that they often open a whole new world of playing enjoyment. You should, however, make sure that you use them to benefit the game play and not just to benefit your ego.

Some of the best selling DVDs are always a surprise, while others are ones that anybody could have guessed. At the same time, some of the most popular DVDs for sale stay at the top of the charts for months, while others last only a few days. So what are some of the newest and most notable top 10 DVDs recently?

There are actually a few documentaries amongst the best selling DVDs, which isn't always the case. The first is the Michael Jackson This is It documentary, which shows a ton of behind the scenes performance and practicing footage. Released shortly after his death, this documentary really captivated audiences around the world, so it's no surprise that that it's still on the best selling DVDs list.

Another documentary on the top 10 DVDs list is Food, Inc. It's yet another expose of the food industry, which isn't a new concept, but it still provides a lot of interesting and valuable information and sheds some light and some serious and worthwhile issues.

If you're looking for a little more action when you are evaluating the most popular DVDs that are available, then look no further than The Hurt Locker. It's a realistic look at the war in Iraq and it could be a big award winner when the Oscars roll around. For some comedy with your action, consider checking out either Zombieland or Inglourious Basterds, both of which are enjoying long stays amongst the top 10 DVDs for sale.

As of right now though, the movie that stands alone at the top of the best selling DVDs list is one that isn't even released yet! That's right, its pre-sale numbers are dwarfing the numbers for movies that are already out there. That movie is none other than Twilight New Moon, the second edition in the Twilight Saga (with plenty more to follow, no doubt).

Rounding out the rest of the top 10 DVDs list are some kids movies such as Up and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, both of which can be enjoyed by the entire family however. So if you want to add some new DVDs to your collection and you're unsure of what to purchase, consider any of these great best selling DVDs. There's something for all kind of interests and tastes with the current most popular DVDs for sale collection, and it's a list that's always changing.

Super Street Fighter IV Wireless FightPad - Ken

Super Street Fighter IV Wireless FightPad - Ken Review

I picked this controller up today and am pleased. Moves are easier to pull off, it's lightweight and the response time seems to be better than the standard PS3 controller. The only reasons I don't give 5 stars are because:

1.) It's only for fighting games. Any game that uses an analog stick won't be compatible with this pad. For I'd like it to function for all my games and not have to switch it out when I play Madden or Batman.
2.) The select and start buttons aren't elevated above the rest of the controller so it's harder to find them without looking at the pad. This is probably something I'll get used to, but I don't like it right now.

Edit 1. So there's this little switch at the bottom of the controller that allows the directional pad to function as either the regular Dpad OR the right or left analog stick. This should allow the controller to be used for at least a few more games but still not for games that utilize both analog sticks or the Dpad and sticks simultaneously.

  • Enlarged circular 8-way floating D-Pad
  • 6-button layout with additional multi-speed Turbo functionality
  • Rubber grips for improved handling
  • Licensed artwork featuring your favorite Super Street Fighter characters

Dry Boards - Effective and Safe Teaching Aids

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Teaching young children via visual illustrations used to be via large dark green chalk boards. The teacher would use chalk sticks to write their lessons and activities on the board. This process is often tiresome and hazardous to health. This is because chalk dust can easily irritate the eyes and noses of those exposed to it. Add to this the problem of cleaning a chalk board. Not only that these boards produce chalk dust when cleaned, residue of chalk dust gets deposited in its corners are hard to remove.

The problem of chalk boards is solved with the introduction of Dry Boards which are now extensively used in schools. These have easy to clean vinyl hard boards that are designed for liquid marker pens. These are non-toxic and safe for the teacher and the students. Whenever the teacher needs to erase what she has written, she can do this with the convenience of a dry cloth or white board eraser. Thus, the teacher and students are safe from any irritating dust.

There are a lot of dry boards that are available in the market. There are models which are specifically designed to suite day care centers. These take into consideration the needs of teacher in effectively teaching their students. Dry boards for day care use should be able to present the written words clearly. For this purpose, dry boards with white background are ideal because illustrations and writings for young children are multi-colored. Furthermore, these can be easily cleaned enabling the the teacher to use it continuously.
