Download Wii Games - Where To Download Games For Nintendo Wii?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The popularity of the new Wii console has led a lot of us to wonder if we can download Wii games. A quick search online turns up lots of sites offering Wii game downloads and talking about the possibility of getting these games. However, it can be hard to tell which sites are reliable, safe from viruses, and provide quality games.

A good Wii download site will offer both older games and new releases. The Wii's support for classic Nintendo games means that you have the ability to download your old favorites, as well as the flashiest new games. If you want to download Wii games, look for a site that offers a good variety. Don't give your information or money to any site you don't trust, or that feels shady. Stick to well designed sites that won't sell your information or fill your computer with malware.

Generally, you'll find that there are two different kinds of sites on the web offering Wii game downloads. Some charge a price per file download. Others allow you access to an unlimited number of games for a flat fee. Which you choose will depend on how many games you need. If you want to download Wii games extensively, an unlimited site will be your best choice. If you are just looking for that one special game you can't find anywhere else, however, paying by the download will be cheaper.

To download Wii games, some sites may require you to download special software. This software will either connect to the site's main server, or to other users of the site, allowing you to download the Wii games you want. Remember, to play downloaded games on your computer, you'll also have to be able to find an emulator that operates the way the Nintendo console would.

If you want to download Wii games, it's easy to find a place that offers them. However, choosing where you want to download from can be a little bit harder. Look carefully at all the available sites offering games for download before you pick one. You could be downloading the latest Wii games, or your old favorites, within a few minutes of registering.

Nintendo 3DS Review

Nintendo 3DS is the true successor of Microsoft's Kinect and Sony's PlayStation. It totally stole the E3 2010 show with its stereoscopic 3D display. The most attractive feature of Nintendo 3DS is you do not need any glasses to see the 3D effects.

Nintendo 3DS Display:

The bottom screen of Nintendo 3DS is a 3.02-inch normal touch panel, whereas the upper screen is slightly larger than the lower screen. The 3.53-inch upper screen display uses lenticular technology. It means that you can get the 3D effect of 3DTV without those hideous glasses. It is like seeing a miniature world through a very small window. It has a pin-sharp 3D effect and a resolution of 800x240 pixels, but it is effectively split into 400x240 pixels per eye. It will not strain your eyes and you will not get any ghosting effects like movies. It is certainly better than 3D Sony Bravia with the clearest and cleanest 3D.

Graphics in Nintendo 3DS:

Nintendo 3DS has a graphical power boost and graphically it will surpass the PSP without any effort.  When we saw the famous PS2 title called Snake Eater running in Nintendo 3DS, the remake version looked superior to the original PS2 version even in its early form. PilotWings Resort game demo showed the incredible depth of the small screen. While flying a game in the 3D environment the ground looks far, far away, while your plane and the objects near it stood out. Making acute judgments in your games is made easier. It is easier to fly under the bridges and through the hoops because you are armed with real life depth perception.

3D is one of the many clever tricks offered by this little gadget. The box has an accelerometer and a gyroscope sensor which means you can detect the positional and tilting movement like Wii Remote. Nintendo 3DS has an enhanced wireless communication feature, which seeks out and communicates with the other 3DS units. It also allows you to trade details like items or scores with other players. If you want this feature in the current DS you have to run it in a special mode of communication.

Nintendo 3DS Hardware:

You can see two camera lenses on Nintendo 3DS's outer casing. It appears strange but you can take photos with 3D effects at a resolution of 640x480 pixels. The augmented reality demonstration in this device is even more impressive. It recognizes a Nintendo sticker and on screen it creates a 3D dragon. You can also move the 3DS and recognize the dragon from any angle. The third camera in this device lets you take 2D photos. It has a 3D slider similar to a volume slider that lets you adjust the 3D depth. The Slide Pad contains an analog control, which is far more comfortable and usable than the analog stub in the PSP.

Nintendo 3DS is one of the most exciting gaming hardware with incredible 3D effects. You can expect some revolutionary games which uses this device's many clever features.

Train Your Brain and Improve Vision and Focus with the Nintendo DS

The Nintendo DS does more than give you cute dogs to play with; it actually can help you exercise your brain and improve your vision. You'll need the right software to get started.

For exercising your noodle, choose Brain Age. This program asks you a series of questions - answer honestly and no cheating! It compiles your answers and comes up with a Brain Age score. A combination of voice recognition, touch screen answers, as well as entry speed and accuracy make taking the Brain Age challenge fun and interactive. You can even team up with other Nintendo DS users and have a friendly competition.

Activities include playing the piano, counting out change, making simple drawings, writing words, solving problems, and more. These fun activities stimulate and challenge your gray matter. Spend a few minutes each day training your brain.

Once you're as smart as Einstein, it's time to work on your klutziness. Want to increase hand and eye coordination? Choose Flash Focus for Nintendo DS consoles. You may have to wait before shopping for this software in the UK as it hasn't hit the shelves just yet. But early reviews say that Flash Focus is sure to be a hit. This nifty program tests and challenges your hand and eye coordination, peripheral vision, eye agility, and reaction time. This vision training technology has been used by athletes to improve their vision and aim. When you have this technology installed on your Nintendo DS, you too can improve your vision, focus, and overall athletic prowess.

Both of these Nintendo DS video games are designed to stimulate your thinking and improve your skills. You should actively play these games every day and keep your skills in top-notch condition. Before you know it, you'll be smart and coordinated!

Nintendo Wii Vs PlayStation 3 - A Genuine Combat

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 are the top-notch gaming consoles commanding the market. However, knowing the difference of Nintendo Wii Vs PlayStation 3 gives clarity about each gaming console and its features.

Hardware - Nintendo Wii has a 729 MHz broadway processor with system memory of 88 MB memory, while the internal flash memory is 512 MB. This system outputs video in 480p definition, but the gamers need to purchase SD cards for surplus storage. The hardware is less powerful and hence is less priced, but the motion controller has made the system eminent from its competitors. PlayStation 3 has a multi-core cell processor as the main CPU. The internal memory is 512 MB and this is divided between the graphics engine and the system equally. The new version of PS3 is slim and has an internal hard drive of 120 GB. This system can output video in high definition.

Features - Nintendo Wii is prominent for it motion controller feature as this feature allows the gamers to have a perfect control over the game and its movements than pressing buttons. PS3 has controllers with simple tilt sensors, and the control range is not identical to the Wii remote. The huge library of games and its remote has increased the demand of this game console. PlayStation 3 has built-in Bluetooth and offers the ability to play Blu-Rays and DVDs. PS3 has more horsepower and graphics than Wii to make it more attractive. Nintendo Wii allows playing GameCube games, while PS3 slim cannot play PlayStation 2 and can allow its gamers to play only games for PlayStation 3 model. However, both the systems are featured with WiFi support.

Games - Rock Band, Madden NFL and Lego Star Wars are released in both gaming systems, but the Wii versions have simple graphics and very few features owing to the less powerful CPU. PS3 has exclusive games such as Metal Gear Solid IV, Killzone 2, Uncharted and LittleBigPlanet, and the Wii games that are exclusive include Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, No More Heroes and Metroid Prime 3. However, Wii games are casual and family friendly, while PlayStation 3 games aim for hardcore gaming audience.

Online - Nintendo Wii has online service that facilitates the gamers to access the virtual console and also facilitates them in purchasing as well as downloading the classic console games that includes Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros. Wii gamers can enjoy their games to the core by exchanging their friend codes that have 12 digit numbers, but each console has a unique number. PlayStation 3 allows the gamers to access a free online service, the PlayStation network, so that the players can play online as well as purchase movies or games and as well download them to their hard drives.

Price - Nintendo Wii is considered to be a value console as it is available at $259.99 and this price tag is significantly lesser than PlayStation 3 that costs $599.99. However, recently, PS3 slim is available at $299.99 and the gap between the two gaming consoles has narrowed.

Why Are Nursing Homes Buying the Nintendo Wii For Their Patients?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

One of the many goals of a nursing home is to keep their patients as active as possible. It may not be possible for them to get out as much as they once did but they can still take part in many activities. It may surprise you to find out that many nursing homes are buying the Nintendo Wii for their patients.

This is due to the many interactive games they can play. For example the interactive bowling game allows even those in their wheelchairs to follow through the process of rolling an imaginary ball. Then they watch on the screen as the pins fall down. They can be seen being very competitive with each other and having a great time with the games.

Tennis is another interactive Nintendo Wii game that the older patients really seem to enjoy. Many of them will tell you stories about playing such sports in their youth as well. This can bring back wonderful memories that they may not have thought about for a while. Even if they have never played a real game of tennis in their life they are having a great time playing it now.

There is also golf and fishing which seem to be quite popular with the men at these nursing home facilities. In addition to them working their muscles, hand and eye coordination is continuing to take place. They also have a great time interacting with the staff and with each other. This type of fun and laugher can certainly help them to feel younger inside and out.

The market for the Nintendo Wii is amazing when you consider the range of people it appeals to. They younger generations are certainly interested in the many features and newer games it offers. Even very young children who are just learning about video games are able to enjoy a variety of games. Parents are playing many of the interactive games with their children. They love that everyone isn't just sitting around.

As you can see from some of the examples here, even the elderly are able to enjoy the various Nintendo Wii games. They allow them to regain some of their youth and vibrance. At the same time they get to have some fun on a level that they can relate to. They are even getting some low impact exercise that really makes them feel good.

As the benefits of these games for the elderly continue to be exposed, you can be sure more adult communities are going to start offering them. When you consider that the gaming console and these games can be purchased for less than $500 it is really a very good investment. In fact, some of the residents at these facilities are even asking for such activities to be offered for their entertainment.

Many doctors are even encouraging this type of activity for therapy. Tournaments for various types of games are becoming popular in these nursing homes as well. Even though these individuals are older, their spunk and their competitive nature is still there. They can have great fun trying to do better than their opponents. In the end though there is a lot of support and cheering going on in the background. This type of encouragement is really needed in such an environment.
