Sony Move: Taking Gaming To A New Level

Image : http://www.flickr.com

If you are a person who loves playing video games especially PlayStation games, then you will definitely want to check out the PlayStation Move. This is the newest motion controller system from PlayStation. This interactive gaming system will change your gaming experience. The Move is a combination of the PlayStation 3 system, the PlayStation Eye camera, and the PlayStation Move motion controller. Now you can move like you've never moved before.

There are many different types of games you can play and definitely something for everyone. Ping-pong is one example of what you can do with the Sony Move. You can play hard or soft making precise wrist actions to return the ball to your opponent's court. You can do the backhand as well as the power slam very easily. You can even hit the ball in such a way that you can make it spin. Give the Sony Move a hand in making the ping-pong game just like the real one.

The Move Party game is an interesting one. This game gives you the power to change places with physical objects. For instance, you can turn your arm into a golf club. With a simple swing movement, you can hit a golf ball as hard as you can or give it a soft tap to get it into the hole. The Sony Move will show you angles in relation to your arm being a golf club. What's more, you have a wide variety of colors to choose from when you're turning various parts of your body into inanimate objects.

If you want to have a more interesting colored golf club, you can paint your arm golf club into something that's bright and vibrant like royal blue. You can even change your hand into a hand fan. You can have your hand fan blowing away at feathers of various colors with the Sony Move. Another type of game you can play with this controller is the slash and bash third person fighter game.

In this game, the console will allow you to wield your sword easily and effortlessly. You can raise it as quickly as you can to protect yourself from attack and you can also keep your hands at your back as a way to taunt your opponent.

These are just a few examples of games that you can play with the Sony Move system. There are many others to choose from. If you want to experience video gaming at a new level then be sure to have a look at the PlayStation Move.

Hex Empire Review - Flash Gaming Review

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The game I am reviewing today is called Hex Empire, sponsored by Minijuegos. The game is a basic strategy game, easy to get the hang of, but does have a sense of difficulty to it.

The game starts up with a randomized map supposedly created by complicated arithmetic equations. There are 4 different countries/states you can choose from to start your conquest of world domination. When you find the map to your liking and the country to your liking you start the game. You start with a few units at your home base and move through the map by clicking on your units then clicking in the given area to move them. The unit display is as followed, Number of people in the unit you have selected over the moral number/bonus. These bonuses can be achieved by moving to certain spots on the map. For example, if you move onto a city (Regular dot) you get a people bonus which increases the number of people you have on the unit you moved to the city, another bonus is a moral bonus which can be achieved by either capturing a port (port-like icon) or by using the "Give a speech" bonus which boosts the moral of all units around the map by a great amount, but can only be used once. As you move through the map you face the computer players which can be put on different difficulties depending on your skill level. When you move your unit onto another players units then they will "fight" and the computer will decide who wins, depending on number of units and moral and whoever wins will come out alive. The option of the game is to conquer the rest of the world.

Another strategy to this is being able to have a peace pact with another computer, which usually only happens towards the beginning of the game as long as you have not came in conflict with that player. To defeat another country/state you must move your units to their main state and defeat the units standing on the main state to achieve victory and take control of all the ports and cities of the country/state you have conquered. The only downside to the game is the occasional small glitch and worst of all, there is no multi player. A game like this is just begging for online multi player. Although the game does not have multi player it is most definitely addicting, strategic and fun.

Great Wii Games to Get Your Girlfriend Into Gaming

Image : http://www.flickr.com

As a guy, video games are a staple in my life. However, having a girlfriend significantly can impede on the video game time, especially when she isn't interested in gaming or doesn't understand its appeal. Thanks to the Wii and its collection of games for everyone, it's now possible to get the best of both worlds, time with your girlfriend and time with your video games. Here's a list of games that will help you get your girlfriend interested in playing games.

First, Wii Sports. Not only is it free with the console, but it is an incredibly fun game. Wii Sports makes you feel like you're in the game, allowing you to swing your racquet like it's an actual racquet when playing tennis, or a bat when you're playing baseball. The game escalates in difficulty as you play, helping to make your girlfriend appreciate the challenge of the game and want to play more.

The recently released New Super Mario Brothers Wii is another great game to try with your girlfriend. Many women grew up on the original Nintendo and so, while put off by most modern games and their complexity, they can appreciate the retro feel of New Super Mario Brothers. The game is easy to pick up and understand, and offers a great team environment so you can have fun with your girlfriend and play the game at the same time.

Another similar game to appeal to this retro nature is Mario Kart Wii. The game comes with a wheel controller that gives the effect that you're actually driving and is similar to the classic games from the older consoles.

Playing these three games, your girlfriend will be quick to appreciate the finer aspects of gaming and you will be able to have your gaming time and your girlfriend.
